Peacock Dance is the best loved dance of the Dai Nationality (minority group in China). It's a very graceful and elegant dance, marked by the undulations of the waist and the arms. To the Dai people the peacock is a symbol of happiness, beauty, and honesty. Peacock Dance is usually performed by one or three people. The dance has certain fixed movements, such as imitating a peacock flying from its nest, shaking and sunning its wings.
