Johann Wolfgang Goethe called the Bohemian Mariánské Láznì, characterized by classicist buildings from the 19th century, the "Pearl of the Imperial Forest". The magic of this place comes from the joint work of landscape gardeners, architects and town planners. The Czech composer Petr Hapka wrote his "Music for the Fountain" ("Marienbad Springs") for this world-famous seaside resort. Petr Hapka is the great man of Czech film music. He wrote the music for more than 100 productions. He has become a household name with us through a series of incomparable fairy tale films in which Tina Ruland, Harald Juhnke or Gudrun Landgrebe, among others, took part. His appealing "Marienbad Springs" will soon be mentioned in the same breath as his film compositions.
